INSURANCE FAQ
All questions and requests are handled personally, individually and promptly by trained staff members.  You NEVER have to communicate with a machine!  All accounts are managed by personnel expert in their fields, who are available to assist you with any insurance issue dealing with:

IS THERE A NETWORK IN PLACE TO QUICKLY AND SATISFACTORILY RESOLVE RELATED PROBLEMS FOR MY STAFF AND PATIENTS?
An insurance coordinator is available daily between 9 and 5 Eastern Time to personally and individually resolve any problems, situations or questions for both your staff and your patients.

IS IT POSSIBLE FOR LPP TO BILL INSURANCES IN OTHER STATES?
Many insurance contracts are national in scope and many managed care carriers utilize “sister” networks in other areas of the country.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF THE LABORATORY PARTICIPATES WITH THE PATIENTS INSURANCE?
While there is no guarantee, the lab participates with several hundred managed care carriers across the country.  If, however, you want to make sure, please call as at our toll free number.

IF I TREAT AN UNINSURED INDIGENT PATIENT AT A REDUCED FEE HOW DOES THE LAB HANDLE THE BILLING?
Each case is handled on an individual basis.  Contact the lab for individual consideration.

DO YOU ACCEPT MEDICARE ASSIGNMENT FOR MYCOLOGY?
YES.  Medicare’s approved amount is accepted as full payment for all mycology services.  There are no balances due from patients.

DO YOU ACCEPT MEDICARE ASSIGNEMENT FOR PATHOLOGY?
Medicare pays 80% of the approved amount for pathology services subject to annual deductibles.  The 20% co-payment and deductible are the responsibility of the patient.

DO YOU DIRECT BILL THIRD PARTY INSURANCE?
We directly bill Blue Shield, Medicare and Private Insurance Plans within the United States.
